Robot company ALUX announced on the 7th that it will expand and relocate to its new headquarters in "Seed Cube Chang-dong" in Dobong-gu, Seoul, to strengthen its internal affairs for full-fledged expansion and business diversification.

The new office building is "Seed Cube Changdong," located in Changdong, Dobong-gu, which is drawing attention as a new economic center in northeastern Seoul. Until now, ALUX has grown into a leading robot company in Korea with its headquarters and research institute based in Dobong-gu, the center of the robot and AI industry. Changdong is expected to serve as a venue for various cultural experiences along with the Seoul Robot Artificial Intelligence Science Museum, along with the Changdong Aurne, a start-up cultural industrial complex that was previously the headquarters of ALUX.

With the relocation of the company's headquarters, it is planning to speed up its business expansion as a robot company. Based on the one-stop value chain and technology established to carry out robot product development to distribution on its own, it will expand its business to industrial robots beyond existing educational robots. As each business unit, which was separated into a new headquarters, has been gathered in one place, it is its ambition to establish itself as a global robot company by reorganizing more productive and efficient work methods and organizational culture.

It will also actively hire new workers. In order to strengthen R&D capabilities, which will be essential for advancing robot technology in the future, it will not only hire new technology and development workers in all directions but also actively recruit global talents.

As the new office building is located in Dobong-gu, where AI and robot-related infrastructure are provided, it is expected that the robot sector will be advanced at a rapid pace. Dobong-gu is drawing attention as the center of the robot AI industry ecosystem, with the Seoul Robot Artificial Intelligence Science Museum, an exhibition and experience space for robot AI, being built in accordance with the comprehensive plan to foster the robot industry in Seoul.

Another noticeable point is that the Dobong Campus of the Youth Employment Academy, which is operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is located in Seed Cube. The Youth Employment Academy is an institution that provides young job seekers with all courses ranging from practical training in the field of new digital technologies to mentoring, employment, and entrepreneurship. Dobong Campus introduced the first artificial intelligence instructor training course as a digital transformation course, including software developers such as artificial intelligence, cloud, augmented reality, virtual reality, fintech, and the web.

Through the 'SW AI Education Expert' class at the Dobong Campus of the Youth Employment Academy, ALUX is striving to cultivate SW and AI education professionals who lead the digital transformation. Through the operation of customized curriculum, practical talent is nurtured and recruitment linkages with related companies is being carried out. ALUX plans to continue to collaborate with local governments and related companies and expand related businesses in the future.

"We have gathered in Changdong, Dobong-gu, the central city of the AI robot industry, to realize ALUX's bigger vision in a new space," said Lee Da-in, CEO of ALUX. "It is expected that executives and employees will be able to communicate more closely and create synergy," he said. "We will complete the business roadmap to strengthen our R&D capabilities to advance our technology and future robot technology capabilities and make a leap into a global AI robot company."
