"With unrivaled technology, I will lead K-EDU Tech!"
"Patent Rich" ALUX Secures Additional Patents
With AI Coding Robot "VINU"
- ALUX applies for a new coding education patent. As a result, it now holds a total of 33 domestic and foreign patents related to robots and coding.
- Secured a number of patents and intellectual property rights, including robot design and AI education, etc. Proves their technological prowess
- Will spare no effort in investing in educational content and technology development to open a new world of robot education.
ALUX secured new coding education patented technology, solidifying its position as a leading K-Edutech company.
ALUX (CEO Chi-heon Lee, Da-in Lee), Korea's leading robot-specialized edutech company, announced on the 17th that it acquired an additional, new patent related to the world's first unplugged AI coding robot, 'VINU.'
The AI coding robot 'VINU' is a product that uses its own LCD monitor and touch input function built into the main body to enable coding education without connecting electronic devices, such as a separate computer, smartphone, or installing programs. Children can freely set movement coordinates according to the coding command value they designed and use the built-in sensor to provide vivid experiential coding education, such as moving the VINU on a playboard with various missions such as tilt, color, and movement.
VINU's patent for 'tilt-movement mission performance method performed in a coding learning tool' includes changing direction and movement settings for tilt, recognizing printed QR codes, providing mission performance guide information, visual and auditory recording of the process, and it includes steps such as 'success or failure of mission performance through printed actions.
With the addition of new patents, ALUX now has a total of 9 patents (Mission performance method using coding learning tool, Grid, Path movement, Color detection, Coordinate movement, Shape creation, Board game, Tilt, Coding learning tool) with just one device. Additionally, ALUX's total patents in the robot and coding sectors amount to 33, domestically and overseas.
VINU is receiving a high rate of response from parents, as it serves as a creative convergence teaching aid that combines various fields such as math, music, art, and science, taking into account the tendencies and developmental stages of early childhood, when brain activity is most important. Currently, more than 400 contents developed by robotics researchers are installed in VINU, and there are plans for updates with artificial intelligence Cam VINU and Controller VINU that can use the latest machine learning algorithms for coding learning.
In addition to coding education, ALUX is expanding its patents based on its own technology in robot design and AI education. For example, the 'assembled block' applied to the PROBO series
is a pin connection technology that allows for easy assembly and disassembly while maintaining a powerful bond through bolts and nuts, and is one of ALUX's patents. PROBO CONNECT, which uses prefabricated blocks, is attracting attention as a new type of robot tool and is gaining popularity overseas, including in Malaysia and Singapore.
In addition, the patent for the 'programming curriculum provision method,' which provides the optimal curriculum according to each individual's learning level and speed, also helped ALUX secure an unrivaled position in the robot education field. ALUX used these technologies to develop coaching artificial intelligence technology that presents the optimal curriculum and appropriate direction in coding education, and participated in NIPA's (National IT Industry Promotion Agency) AI voucher support project.
Lee Da-in, CEO of ALUX, said, “The role of the content development research team and R&D technology research center was significant in the background of our ability to stand out with our technological capabilities in both the fields of robotics and coding education.”
She added, “We are creating a new world of robot education not easily experienced before.
"We will continue to invest in educational content and technology development to make it more accessible,” she declared.
