ALUX, which aims to become a tech company beyond the 'Edu,' concluded the grand finale of the coding robot festival for aspiring robot engineers all around the world who will eventually lead the future.

The 'Global Pro Robot Championship' ("G-PRC"), which celebrates its 9th anniversary this year, was successfully hosted by ALUX (CEO Lee Chi-heon and Lee Da-in), an edutech company specializing in robots, with a large number of students at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 12th, as was announced on the 13th.

G-PRC is a robot competition that has been held since 2014 and has attracted more   than 100,000 students to date. Since the first domestic competition, the G-PRC has expanded into a global competition in 2019 and has established itself as the largest international robot competition in name and reality.

In this final match held in Seoul, over 4,000 participants and visitors from all over the world, including Korea, China, and Malaysia, filled the Jangchung Gymnasium, demonstrating the intense enthusiasm for G-PRC. The game was broadcast live on PROBO TV's YouTube channel, and about 10,000 people, including participating students and parents, expressed explosive interest by watching the game online and offline.

The six events held at G-PRC were more diverse than last year based on ALUX's products and content, including PROBO Connect, coding robot VINU, and drones. Participants took part in the following mission games:

△Speed Touch Connect, △Speed Touch Technic, △LED Touch Technique, △Push & Run, △Speed Drone, and △Coding Creation.

In particular, the 'Push & Run' event using the 'Speed Touch Technic' and VINU received a lot of attention among participants, as it was previously operated as a pilot event in 2023 for the International Robot Olympiad, which competes for robot capabilities.

An awards ceremony was also organized for the winners of each event. In particular, this year, an additional competition between the top performers from each country in the Speed Touch Connect and Technic categories was held, and the World Champion award was awarded to the winning participant. The ceremony attracted great attention, as the National Champion, Grand Prize, Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award, and Honorable Mention Award winners were selected, while Special Awards were awarded to all participants. It is said that everyone was able to enjoy the game in unity as it was a fun festival designed to cultivate children's passion and capabilities for robot coding.

A student who participated in the competition said, “My dream is to become a robotics engineer, and it was a valuable experience that allowed me to get one step closer to my dream by talking and competing with many friends from overseas who share similar interests.

“I want to meet many friends from around the world again,” he added.

An overseas G-PRC participant said, “I am so happy to participate in a global competition where coding and robots become one, while also being able to come to Korea."

He added, “I was able to watch other activities and groups on-site while also getting hands-on experience with drones and robots. It was a great experience."

He added, “Every year, we will spare no effort in supporting and investing so that the G-PRC, which is already growing as an international competition, can continue to develop into a festival where children around the world can advance their AI and robot self-efficacy and express their dreams and passions."
