““Leading the global edutech market by proving our technological prowess on the world stage.”
ALUX receives the ‘CES 2024 Innovation Award’...
Stand-alone, coding education robot ‘VINU’ expands its global influence.
- Receiving the CES 2024 Innovation Award... Following selection as a 2024 BETT Show finalist,
once again attracting attention in the global market.
- Korea's only stand-alone, coding education robot 'VINU,' equipped with its LCD screen, enables coding learning
without connecting a separate electronic device.
- Recognized for scalability and innovation in lowering coding education entry barriers... Significantly increasing
accessibility to coding education for the digitally underprivileged.
- “We will advance technological capabilities to develop coding education products such as robots and drones...
We will expand the base of the coding education ecosystem itself."
ALUX announced it has secured visible results in its influence in the global market through its stand-alone coding education robot 'VINU.'
ALUX (CEO Lee Chi-heon, Lee Da-in), an edutech company specializing in robots, announced on the 27th that it had brought home the CES Robotics Innovation Award honors ahead of 'CES 2024', the world's largest IT exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA in January next year.
The CES Innovation Award is awarded by the Consumer Technology Association, the hosts of CES 2024, after carrying out an in-depth review of innovative technologies and products that will lead the world. Award-winning products are considered as one of the technologies most representative of that year.
ALUX introduced Korea's first stand-alone coding education robot, 'VINU,' which was recognized for its global scalability and technological innovation in lowering the entry barrier into coding education. VINU is the only product in Korea equipped with its LCD monitor and touch input function, which enables independent block coding free from connection to separate electronic devices, such as computers or smartphones, or installation of external programs. As such, VINU was regarded as having opened a new coding education ecosystem. In addition, it received great attention in terms of pan-social impact, a major evaluation criterion for global technological innovation, by significantly increasing accessibility to coding education for countries with less-than-ideal network connections and the digitally underprivileged.
VINU's value as a creative convergence coding education device that combines various fields such as math, music, art, and science, taking into account the tendencies and developmental stages of early childhood when brain activity is most important, was recognized. In particular, it garnered considerable attention for presenting a new methodology for global, basic coding education that one may implement in a variety of environments, transcending language, country, and digital divides.
VINU not only received the CES Innovation Award, but was also selected as a finalist for the 'BETT Awards,' to be awarded at 'BETT Show 2024,' a global edutech exhibition held in Europe next year. The product's favorable reviews overseas for its scalability and innovative technology continue. ALUX participated in the BETT Show for the third consecutive year and secured notable achievements this year as well, including a finalist selection in the hardware AV VR/AR robotics or digital device categories.
Lee Da-in, CEO of ALUX, said, “We are delighted to have been recognized for the innovation and market potential of VINU, as well as for ALUX's corporate value and vision, by securing successive results on the world’s largest overseas stages.”
She added, “We will continue to develop coding education products such as robots and drones.
“We will take the lead in advancing technological capabilities, continue to launch differentiated devices, and expand the base of the coding education ecosystem itself.”
ALUX said, “We consider this year as the first year and step to becoming a global company, and will accelerate our strategy to enter overseas markets to establish ourselves as a significant player in both the domestic and overseas edutech industry.
“To expand our exports from Asia, such as China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, to Europe and the Americas, we are working hard to establish business lines in each overseas country and expand our exports.”
