- CEO Lee Da-in: "We will continue to grow by leaps and bounds, prove our competitiveness on the global stage, and present a new paradigm of robotics technology."

ALUX, an edutech company specializing in robotics (CEOs Lee Chi-heon and Lee Da-in), is continuing its unstoppable growth trajectory by playing an active role on a large-scale global stage from the United States (CES), the United Kingdom (BETT SHOW), and Greece (IRO) based on its products and technology.

At the '2024 International Robot Olympiad (IRO)' held in Athens, Greece, on the 16th of last month, the 'Speed Touch TECHNIC' event of ALUX's G-PRC (Global Professional Robot Championship) competition was held as a demonstration event. After the 2024 Games in Greece, 'Speed Touch TECHNIC’ will be adopted as an official event at the 2025 Games. The event is one of ALUX's G-PRC events and requires players to assemble PROBO CONNECT and TECHNIC components to a set size and maneuver them to press a numbered button faster than their opponent.

The International Robotics Olympiad is the world's leading youth robotics competition, now in its 25th year since its inception in 1999. This year, about 1,430 elementary, middle, and high school participants from 13 countries competed in 18 events and 32 categories with robots that they developed and built themselves, and it is recognized as a global festival that helps young people develop into future practitioners by improving their communication and collaboration skills in the field of robotics.

The fact that the G-PRC event was selected as a demonstration event at a prestigious world competition means that the impact of ALUX's products and technologies has been recognized not only in Korea but also overseas. The company's strategy is to use this as a springboard to expand exports to China, Malaysia, Europe, the Americas, and other countries that are members of the International Robot Olympiad.

The company's performance at global exhibitions is also noteworthy. With its standalone coding education robot, VINU, the company has been recognized for its influence at the BETT Show in the UK and CES in the US, securing tangible results. Equipped with its own LCD monitor and touch input function, VINU is said to have opened a new educational ecosystem that enables coding education in any environment by enabling block coding without the need for computers, smartphones, and external programs. It is also gaining attention in terms of social impact, which is a key measure of global technological innovation, by significantly increasing access to coding education for the digitally marginalized in countries where network connectivity is difficult.

At the BETT Show, the world's largest edutech expo, where ALUX participated for the third consecutive year, it secured a remarkable global achievement by becoming the only Asian company to be named a finalist in the BETT Awards in the Hardware AV VR/AR Robotics or Digital Devices category, garnering international acclaim for our product scalability and innovative technology.

The company's products attracted strong interest among local education industry representatives attending the show from the United Kingdom, Spain, Israel, Hungary, Nigeria, and South Africa. In particular, local school representatives from the UK showed the most active interest, purchasing the introductory coding textbooks and discussing distribution and localization with education startups in the UK. ALUX sold prototypes to education companies in Spain, Israel, and Hungary and later conducted coding education training for them, resulting in export contracts with representatives and buyers from education companies in various countries.

VINU, a stand-alone coding education robot, won the CES Robotics Innovation Award, which is awarded by the Consumer Technology Association of America after an in-depth review of world-leading innovative technologies and products, at CES 2024, the world's largest IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, U.S. VINU was recognized for its high value in both product and technology. In particular, the VINU's ability to teach coding anywhere, even in environments where there is no computer or Wi-Fi, attracted high interest not only at the BETT Show but also at CES.

"It is encouraging to see that we are making significant progress as a key player in the global robotics market at the start of this year," said Lee Da-in, CEO of ALUX. "We will continue to demonstrate our unparalleled corporate competitiveness and present a new paradigm of robotics technology by continuing our hyper-gap growth recognized on the world stage."

The company is focusing on building business lines in overseas countries and expanding the scale of exports from Asia, including China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, to Europe and the Americas.
