ALUX Embarks on Full-Scale Expansion into Drone Business… Aims to Become a Next-Level Technology Powerhouse

ALUX is accelerating the expansion of its drone business, leveraging the growing anticipation around the commercialization of drones both domestically and internationally, while maximizing synergy with its existing technological capabilities.

The company has completed strategic preparations to lead the market, including:

  • Establishment of a dedicated drone business division

  • Development of a drone-specific talent training infrastructure

  • Construction of a comprehensive drone manufacturing value chain

Thanks to these efforts, ALUX has solidified its leading position in the domestic market and is now seeing positive signals for global drone exports. The company has achieved remarkable sales records, with 50,000 units sold in Korea and 30,000 units in the United States—underscoring its rising global presence.

EdTech robotics specialist ALUX (Co-CEOs: Chiheon Lee and Dain Lee) is rapidly expanding its presence in domestic and international industrial markets by launching a new drone business and restructuring its organization to position itself as a cutting-edge technology company.

Having already secured both growth and profitability through its unrivaled capabilities in robotics and coding education, ALUX is now set to accelerate its achievements at home and abroad through its new drone business, with the ambition of becoming a next-generation technology leader.

The backdrop to ALUX’s expansion into the drone sector lies in the surging global demand and market shifts favoring drone commercialization. Both governments and private companies are betting on Urban Air Mobility (UAM) as a future growth engine, while global tech giants like Amazon and Google have declared entry into drone delivery services—fueling greater anticipation for drone deployment than ever before.

ALUX began stepping into the drone industry in 2022 and generated KRW 2 billion in drone sales last year. With full-scale expansion into overseas markets in 2025, the company projects over KRW 10 billion in drone-related revenue—a fivefold increase. It has firmly established itself as the No.1 micro drone manufacturer and developer in Korea, and is the only domestic company capable of producing over 50,000 multirotor drone units annually with in-house hardware and software technologies.

In response to rapidly changing global dynamics, ALUX is accelerating efforts in the U.S. market, where drone demand is rapidly rising. Its educational robots are already being sold through Amazon, with sales exceeding 30,000 units. In addition, ALUX’s customized drones have been adopted by multiple U.S. educational institutions and competitions, further solidifying its presence in the American drone market.

Looking ahead, ALUX plans to secure market leadership by capitalizing on its competitive drone technologies and talent pool. The company has established a new drone division, led by top Korean drone expert Director Jisang Ki, and is actively recruiting specialized talent.

Moreover, leveraging its robust educational network, ALUX is building a one-stop drone education infrastructure to nurture drone specialists. This includes everything from instructor training and curriculum development to drone R&D and distribution, thereby completing a seamless pipeline for drone education and commercialization.

ALUX has completed infrastructure that enables the entire drone manufacturing value chain—from technology development to production, distribution, and after-sales service (A/S)—to be covered domestically. With this efficient production system as its driving force, the company plans to expand into drone infrastructure businesses.

Furthermore, ALUX aims to establish itself as a standard-bearer in Korea’s drone industry and a leader in drone commercialization. The company plans to introduce new drone-related categories in its self-hosted international robot coding competition, G-PRC (Global Pro-Robot Championship), and is also collaborating with local governments to develop drone battle arenas, providing safe spaces for flying and promoting a healthy drone-based sports culture.

Chiheon Lee, CEO of ALUX, stated:

“We plan to leverage ALUX’s existing top-tier educational robot network in Korea to give our drone business new wings and establish ourselves as a specialized technology company. With the expansion of our product lineup and technical capabilities in both drones and robots, we expect strong business synergy and will work towards achieving KRW 50 billion in annual revenue within this year.”
